The negative use in the English language towards most things black, apart from money (in the black) which no doubt comes from the inhuman trade in slaves from Africa, really irritates me; newspaper headlines with ‘Blackmail’ or the journalist who announces tongue in cheek after some death or tragedy that it was a ‘Black day’.
