OUR YOUTHS

Today I witnessed a sickening fight between two black youths outside
Tescos in Leyton. What shocked me the most was the reaction of the
people standing around. Strong young men who could have intervened just
stood watching while they tore strips off each other and even when it
spilled over inside the supermarket the security guards seemed
disinclined to get involved, and their so called friends simply egged
them on. I tried to pull them apart while screaming at them to stop the
fight. I have a son andI would hope someone would intervene if he was in a fight. One Lad was wearing what looked like a bullet proof vest and the other had blood dripping from his mouth. If we as parents and adults are not prepared to stand up and say to the youths enough is enough then our children will continue to die on the streets……Sonya
